Blakat is also known as Patagonian Cherry. It is grown mostly in Paraguay and Bolivia. Blakat exhibits a unique rose color that can vary from a reddish rose to a burnished rosy brown. It is an extremely dense wood that handles wear and tear very well.
Janka Hardness Scale ranks Blakat at 2800, which is more than twice as hard as Red Oak.
